"THE HOOK" REVIEW
Paolo Maiorino has been in the music business for over 30 years. His impressive credentials in the industry are respected by all the major music power houses worldwide.
Progressive metal? Electro funk crossover heavy rock? The urge of possibly defining Blue Movie’s new single “The hook” puts me an unusual position of finding a proper style genre for which this incredible band would fit in. And as always it’s a non sense and a fatal mistake. "Blue Movie's" sound is once again revolutionary and visionary at the same time. And this is not anything new. Song after song and what they are doing with their unique blend has been simply unpredictable. “The Hook” sticks to this rule thanks to theaggressive guitar riffs and a rap metal singing style . This band reminds me of many things but yet I find it actually impossible compare them to anybody else. In addition to that, this new single hosts a tremendous guitar solo by Skid Row’s Dave "The Snake" Sabo!
What a great song indeed! And what a pounding and eclectic rhythm section too. Perfect chemistry for a killer song .
